About Renee M. Johnson
Renee Johnson is native of Jacksonville, FL and is also a blessed mother of four beautiful children Tiffany Johnson, Lenard, Dennis, and Shalanda Williams. As a woman of prayer Rene' received the assignment to reach out to hurting women and teen girls. It was in August of 2002, when God gave Renee the vision of Morning Dove Center for Teen Girls, Inc., and now is the founder of Vessels of Living Water, which ministers to hurting women and teen girls. She is now an advocate and has become a Partner with Hubbard House, which is a center for battered women, children and men.
In March of 2003, the organization was filed in the State of Florida, and within nine months, certified as a non profit organization with it's 501(C)3. Since the calling has been placed on her life, God has given her so many ideas to offer service to hurting women young girls, such as Workshops, Teen Summits, Banquets, Clothes Giveaway, Fashion Shows, which are ways of ministering and serving these girls to meet their needs.
Renee is passionate about encouraging teen girls to realize their true value and worth in Christ through inspirational and educational teaching and music. Her ministry is positively impacting the lives of girls and young women citywide. She attended local schools, such as Ribault Middle School, Andrew Jackson High School, and graduated from Fernandina Beach High School, in the year of 1980.
Renee Johnson has had experience working with children over the past 10 years, with Emma Love Hardy Elem. School, Fernandina Bch. Florida, Head Start School system, as a teacher aide, and she also worked as a teacher with preschoolers at Elm Street Church of God Daycare. Her experience with teens started from her own personal experiences to raise her four teen children, ministering to teen girls in her local church, by encouraging and motivating them, and teens in her local neighborhood.
Renee also was a volunteer with the State of Florida Guardian AD Litem Program, for abused & neglected children, where she had the opportunity to sit in court with families that are being challenged, and have their children taken away to foster care. Rene' has had several opportunities to minister in other areas, such as Fernandina, Columbia South Carolina, A Foster Care Group Home in Orange Park Florida, and many Churches in the local areas and other States while traveling.
Renee Johnson has 28 years of experience in customer care and services, starting out with McDonalds restaurant as her first job, at age 16, then Kmart, the school system, 10 years of service at Wal-Mart, 3 years of services at a nursing home in Fernandina, and she is a certified Home health Aide, with CPR certificate. She also attended Jones College for 3 years, to work toward her degree in Medical Assistance, and six months of training in home health services, for home care.
In 2012 Renee wrote and published her first book of her life story titled, “The Blaze of Consumption Arise From The Ashes” and went on to produce her first Stage Play, “Somethin’s Gotta Give” which was performed at the Ritz Theater in Jacksonville Florida. She has now written her second book and Stage Play “Which Witch Is Which” that she is the Assistant Director, which will be performed in Jacksonville Florida January 10, 2014. She is now working on her third book.
Renee is now enrolled in the Florida Theological School, for her degree in Christian counseling. Her goal is to reach out to Battered and Abused Women as well as teen girls in Jacksonville Florida, and extended areas, which is needed based on the statistics and percentage of HIV/AIDS rate, drug abuse rate, juvenile crime rate, percentages of rape cases, and child abuse/neglect, domestic violence, and teens in and out of foster care, as well as Duval County’s school drop-out rates.
